Who we are? What we do? Why we do it?
Well, here's my story...
My name is Steven Rubin, Co-founder and ranking
partner of SARubin-Websites. I put my name on this company (and on
this website) to let you know you're dealing with
a real person, and not just some nameless, faceless, corporate
company.
I'm the chief webmaster here, and I also have a background in
SEO, copywriting, and marketing. So I'm involved with much of the work myself,
and if there's anything I need help with, I have some top quality
people I can always turn to.
I work with a small group of very talented
freelance website developers, SEO gurus, and marketing specialists. We all started out as freelance web
developers, and we're still doing it because it's what we love to
do.
If you don't have a website yet... we can build

Why did we start this company?
The main reason we started this company is
because there's far too many website development companies out there, that either
don't know what they're doing... or they'll charge you an arm and a
leg just to build you a web presence.
We want to help you join the 20th century
(especially since we're already in the 21st century) by bringing
your vision, and your business, to the World Wide Web. And we want
to help you without forcing you to get a bank loan just to make
it happen.
So, if our motives are that pure and altruistic,
why do we charge anything at all?
Good question. We charge for our services for two reasons...
1) We all have families to feed, and
bills to pay, just like you. And...
2) When you give something of value away
for free, people will rarely ever place a higher value on it then
what they paid.
If we gave you a website for free, you'd
probably think it wasn't worth very much, and you'd likely never
even put it up on the internet. But when you invest a few hundred
dollars, there's a much better chance you'll put that website to
work, so you can at least recover your investment and justify your
decision.
We want you to succeed. But if you don't put
your website to work, then our efforts to help you will be wasted.
And our time could be better spent helping someone else who wants
our help.
Now, no one can guarantee that if you just put
up a website you'll make a million dollars over night (although
there are some scam artists out there who will promise you just
that) But I will guarantee that if your company doesn't have a
website on the internet, you will be left behind by an increasingly
web savvy world.

So, why do we only work with small businesses
and individuals?
Someone recently asked me that question, and I
thought... "there's an honest question that deserves an honest answer"
After all, building corporate websites is
where all the money is at...right? Large companies have deeper
pockets and can afford to pay more...right?
Well it's true, building websites for large
corporations can bring in quite a bit more revenue, but we only work
with small businesses and individuals for a few simple reasons...
...Without getting into a big political debate,
let me just say, I believe small business is the true backbone of
the American economy.
In my humble opinion, I believe large
corporations are one of the main causes for the turmoil in our
economy. Sure, they provide a lot of jobs to people, but as soon as
the going gets tough, they also take a lot of those same jobs away.
All the while they keep feeding large bonuses to their top
executives for their performance (or lack of performance) within the
company.
Small business owners tend to be far more
responsible when it comes to honest business relationships with
their customers and employees. That being said... large corporate
companies don't need our help to run their business as usual.
We want to help people who need (and deserve)
our help. Small businesses are made up of real people. And if you
work at a small business (or own a small business) then there's a
good chance you probably know everyone at the company... by name.
How many large corporations can say the same thing?
As far as working with individual people
(building personal websites) it's the same reason... We prefer to
work with real people. Not nameless, faceless, corporate entities.
When we work with individuals and small business
owners, we can give you our personal attention to make sure you get
exactly what you're looking for. If you don't like what you see, we
can change it around a bit without waiting for a dragged out board
meeting that often doesn't produce any real decisions.
By the time we're done, you'll have a website
you'll be proud of. And when you thank us for the personal attention
we give you, your appreciation will be as important as the monetary
compensation for our efforts.
So that's the short reason why we only work with
real people, and not large corporations.
